Make Money Ethically with Contextual
Advertising
One reason I started AdClickology, aside from
helping others, was to steer beginning netrepreneurs
in the right direction- away from MFA websites
(Made for AdSense), and away from using software
that increases page impressions and clicks, etc.
In doing so, I hope it will catch on and inspire
more people to contribute to a utopia of
ethical and successful web publishers.
A few steps you can take as an ethical web
publisher:
Do not create/use MFA websites. - as far
as I'm concerned, MFA sites are stealing. In
addition, they provide no information and are
against ad network TOS (terms of service) and will
get you banned.
Do not use impression/click software or click
on your own ads- Not only is this stealing
from advertisers (who we love!) but this will get
you banned for life from ad networks.
Be generous with your outbound links -
Give credit where credit is due, provide your
audience with links to additional information and
exchange links with others frequently (regardless of
PageRank.)
Be clear with your audience and
distinguish your writing between advocacy,
commentary, factual information and ADVERTISING.
Provide original content, not copied or
"borrowed"- search engines will love you, and
you will be offering your audience fresh information
while establishing your reputation as an authority
in your field. If that's not enough, it also
saves time and embarrassment of being asked to
remove content by peeved authors.

analyzes clicks and impressions to
determine whether they fit a pattern
of use intended to artificially
drive up an advertiser's clicks or a
publisher's earnings. Clicks or
impressions deemed by us to be
invalid should not be included in
your earnings.
